Indulgence by Poole Pottery Andrew Tanner’s work is perhaps best known for his clean lines and sensitive surface design. So what better opportunity than to ask Andrew to create a collection for us here at Poole? Indulgence is a collection which combines elegance and sophistication, based upon his own minimalist values whilst celebrating contemporary British design. The result of this marriage is a collection called Indulgence featuring clean white and black gloss glazes are embossed with a single teardrop of hand applied gold. Indulgence is part of the ‘Thumbprint’ collection which launches in 2009 and will be expanded as we continue our journey in celebrating modern design and traditional manufacture. The ‘Thumbprint’ Collection, featuring the guest designers thumbprint on the piece introduces a new design-led series of products to attract both existing collectors but also increase new audiences. The first series of work under this new design umbrella is the vase collection ‘Indulgence’.
