This box figurine, depicting a festive turkey, was the special event piece for HK’s third annual in-store celebrations held November 1999. Each piece was boxed in tamper proof shrink-wrap packaging so the variation surprises weren’t known until opened. 10,500 pieces (“The Grey Back” variety) depict an interior of Governor Bradford, founder of Plymouth Colony, negotiating a treaty with Massasoit, chief of the Wampanoag tribe. It is said that the two became fast friends and threw a big party that they called “Thanksgiving.” One thousand pieces (“The Yellow Back” variety) are colour variations with the same interior. Five hundred pieces (“The Arrow”) are mould variations, with an arrow piercing Governor Bradford’s hat. Fifteen hundred pieces (“The Christmas Cracker”) for the U.K. and Canada have a unique interior portraying Christmas crackers, parcels, a bottle, and holly. One piece is jewel encrusted and painted by Martin Perry. Hallmarks include ©, moon, HBC logo, and Pc.
